A Meaningful Investment in the Future of the Rosen JCC
We are thrilled to announce that on Monday, June 30, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the state budget, which includes a generous appropriation of over half a million dollars for the Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center (JCC). These funds will help expand senior programs and services and enhance security measures across our campus.
This transformational investment marks a significant milestone in our mission to create a safe, inclusive, and vibrant gathering place for the entire community.
When the late Harris Rosen opened our beautiful campus in 2009, his vision was clear: to create a welcoming space where individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and faiths could come together, grow, and thrive. Today, that vision is not only alive, but also expanding in ways we only dreamed of.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Harris Rosen Foundation for its unwavering support and generous dollar-for-dollar match, which was instrumental in securing this state appropriation. Thanks to this commitment, more than $1 million is now earmarked for capital improvements, including enhanced security infrastructure and the expansion of our facilities.
This would not have been possible without the tireless advocacy and leadership of State Representative Rita Harris and State Senator Kristen Arrington, whose dedication to the greater good and passionate representation of our community has been truly extraordinary. We are proud to recognize them as friends of the Rosen JCC and champions of this cause. We are also deeply grateful for the support of Shalom Orlando and the strategic advocacy of GrayRobinson, whose partnership and guidance were instrumental throughout this process.
This funding brings us closer to realizing long-held dreams: a dedicated senior center, improved accessibility, and more comprehensive services for everyone who walks through our doors. The impact of this investment extends far beyond our walls; it strengthens the entire Southwest Orlando community.
We are deeply grateful to our members, supporters, and champions. Your belief in our mission fuels everything we do. This is more than just a win for the Rosen JCC, it’s a win for our community, our seniors, and the generations to come. This is just the beginning. The future is brighter than ever, and we cannot wait to share what’s next!
