Hochberg Family Gift Brings New Teen Center to Rosen JCC
The Jack & Lee Rosen Jewish Community Center (Rosen JCC) is proud to announce an extraordinary donation from the Hochberg family to support the launch of a new teen center and expanded teen programming. The gift will help renovate a dedicated space and provide resources for Jewish teens to build meaningful connections, foster leadership skills, and strengthen their Jewish identity. While the program is rooted in Jewish values, it is open to all, reflecting the inclusive nature of the Rosen JCC.
“My family has always felt welcome at the Rosen Jewish Community Center, so we were compelled to make a donation to ensure other families can find a place there as well,” said Matt Hochberg. “Under the leadership of CEO Ofira Bondorowsky, the Rosen Jewish Community Center has made tremendous progress, and I hope our family’s donation helps accelerate this wonderful momentum.”
The new teen center will provide a safe, welcoming space for teens to gather, socialize, and participate in educational, cultural, and social programs. This initiative aligns with the Rosen JCC’s ongoing commitment to cultivating community, supporting youth development, and creating lifelong connections.
Ofira Bondorowsky, CEO of the Rosen JCC, said, “We are incredibly grateful to the Hochberg family for their generosity and vision. Their gift will have a lasting impact on our teen community, providing a space where young people can explore their Jewish identity and connect with one another. Gifts like this are what allow the Rosen JCC to provide a welcoming space where all can gather.”
The teen center is one of several exciting initiatives recently launched at the Rosen JCC that strengthens our commitment to building community, together, and fostering a sense of belonging across generations. Alongside Arts at the J, which brings high-quality, affordable cultural experiences to southwest Orlando, and expanded senior programs, these initiatives create opportunities for connection, learning, and engagement for people of all ages.
Everyone belongs at the J! We invite others who share our commitment to youth, arts, culture, and community to join us. Your support—through donations, volunteering, or advocacy—helps ensure that programs like the teen center, Arts at the J, and senior programs continue to inspire, connect, and empower generations across southwest Orlando.
