Our History
The Jack & Lee Rosen JCC in Southwest Orlando began with a simple yet powerful vision – to create an inclusive place where people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds could come together to learn, connect, and thrive.
That vision was brought to life through the extraordinary generosity and leadership of the late Harris Rosen, whose belief in the power of community continues to shape and strengthen Central Florida. His unwavering commitment to education, wellness, and opportunity has left a legacy that extends far beyond the walls of the JCC.
Through his vision and generosity, Mr. Rosen helped transform the JCC into a vibrant hub of life and connection, a place filled with the sounds of children learning and laughing, families celebrating milestones, and neighbors gathering to share in art, culture, and wellness.
Today, the Rosen JCC stands as a living reflection of Mr. Rosen’s enduring legacy: a community united in spirit, strengthened by connection, and inspired to continue building a brighter future, together.
Where We Are Today
At the Rosen JCC, we proudly carry forward Harris Rosen’s legacy of giving back and creating opportunities for others. Every program, partnership, and community engagement reflects his belief that strong communities are built by people who care for and about one another.
As the Southwest Orlando community continues to grow and evolve, we are evolving too — developing initiatives for seniors, bringing high-quality performances and cultural experiences to the Pargh Event Center, and innovating educational and enrichment programs for children of all ages.
We know that programs are stronger when built in collaboration with other organizations across town, and we view community not just as the people who live here, but also the businesses and organizations that help shape it.
